1st Birthday Card

Today I decided to make a 1st birthday card for my niece's daughter, even though her birthday isn't for another month.

I used a Paper Nation rubber stamp - Toddler Bowl - and stamped it in brown Stazon so that it could be coloured using watercolour pencils and a waterbrush.

I cut the image out and layered it onto a square of purple glitter card. This I layered onto a part sheet of a 'girlie' paper from Dovecraft Designer papers. I used a leftover strip along the bottom of the A5 card and finished it all of with a silver peel-off greeting and number.

As I am very new to all of this I am going to start off by showing some of the garments I knit last year. They are for my niece's new baby, Mia, who was born in May 2007 and my Granddaughter, Faith.

This baby jacket in lilac with matching buttons is knit in my favourite pattern for a baby. It was made last year for my niece's baby.

This is a lovely crossover cardigan I made for Faith when she was here last Summer. She chose the cream yarn from the selection that I had and I added the big pink gingham buttons as a surprise for her.
I knit the same design in peach for Mia.
