Teen Terrors!

Over on the Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge site the theme this week is Teen Terrors.

This is my contribution, the first time i've taken part as until I really looked at the site this morning didn't realise that the images didn't need to be Tildas.
The stamp is Oliver Cool from Lili of the Valley. The shirt is paper pieced and the rest of him is coloured with polychromos and sansodor. The shirt and backing papers are from the citrus pad by HOTP. The wording is made from peel-off letters.

Lili of the Valley Challenge

We were told this week...
Now on to this fortnights challenge, we would like to see ANIMALS somewhere on your card or creation, the girls have given you some great inspiration and we hope you can join us this fortnight. Don't forget it is not necessary to use Lili of the Valley products on your creations.

I have used a Penny Black stamp which has been coloured using Polychromos and sansodor.

The image and pink backer have been cut and embossed using my new Nesties - I love the shape of them. A piece of patterned paper has been layered onto plain green and then mounted onto the pale pink card. Self adhesive gems finish off the card to add a bit of bling. Both papers are from Dovecraft.

Cute Card Thursday

It's only friday and i've already got this done which is something of a first for me.

This is the challenge on Cute Card Thursday this week....

With Christmas getting closer and us crafters wanting to get a headstart on a busy time of year we thought we would help you to get the ball rolling and make a Christmas Card.

I stamped the Sarah Kay image in grey Versafine ink and coloured it using polychromos and sansodor. Glitter glue was added to parts give a sparkle, although this doesn't show up too well on the photo. The edges of the backer and the image have been cut using a scalloped blade and those on the image outlined with the same colour as the dress. A piece of dotty organza ribbon completes the card. Not traditional Christmassy colours but pretty nontheless.
The green paper is from Dovecraft and the ribbon from Ribbon Oasis.

Cute Card Thursday

I made this last week but had to wait until now to show it as it was sent to the lovely Karen whose Birthday is today.

On Cute Card Thursday last week we were asked.........

Now - onto this week's challenge"FOOD & DRINK"Create a card with an item of food or drink on it somewhere - as simple as that!

This cute image was sent to me by Lynn. I coloured it with polychromos and sansodor. The cup and saucer were covered in Anita's glaze to give them a nice shine. It was then layered it up onto patterned and plain card from my stash. Organza ribbons from Ribbon Oasis were added at the side to match the colours.

Thank You

A couple of weeks back a friend asked if I would like a couple of stamps which she had duplicated. I accepted (of course) but she did not want anything in return for her kindness.

I could not let it go at that so I made this little notebook for her using a Sarah Kay stamp, coloured with polychromos and sansodor and put together with the BIA. The braid is from Hobbycraft and the organza ribbons from Ribbon Oasis.

The card is a ready embossed one from DCWV with a bit of layering and ribbon and a topper from a past issue of Making Cards magazine.

Cute Card Thursday

On Cute Card Thursday challenge we were told.........
An easy one for you this week, we would like to see an animal somewhere on your card!

I had this cute hedgehog image sent to me last week and thought he would be just right. I coloured him with polychromos and sansodor.
I cut an oval shape around the image and layered it up onto 2 more ovals cut from backing paper in brown shades. These have been stuck onto a backer embossed with my Cuttlebug. The greeting has been stamped and embossed in red onto a smaller oval and layered with foam pads across a piece of dotty red ribbon.

It's Mick's birthday on Friday so this is going to be his card.

Faith's birthday card

I made this card as soon as we came home from holiday as Faith's birthday is in the 2nd week of september.
The image is a stamp from from Paper Nation which has been coloured using polychromos and sansodor. It has been layered up onto lilac card and then onto pink cardstock. Faith's 2 favourite colours. I added a pink organza ribbon to make it even more 'girly' for her. The 'F' and '7' have been cut with my Cuttlebug and the other letters are peel-offs as is the greeting.

Anniversary card

Just couldn't wait to try my new stamps so I made this card ready for my parents' Wedding Anniversary next month.

I used a pale pink base card. The image has been stamped in versafine ink in grey and coloured using polychromos and sansodor. I cut round it in a crescent shape and layered it up onto a heart pattern dufex board. The sentiment was done on the computer. The stamp is from Cuddly Buddly and is from the hearts and daisies set.

New Home card

I had an e-mail message yesterday from a friend in Ireland giving me her new address so I just had to make her a card.

This is a lovely stamp and I have used it lots of times. I bought it originally to use when I sent out details of our new address but ended up using a different one. It is Thatched Cottage by Funstamps.
I stamped with grey Versafine onto white card and coloured using polychromos and sansodor. The edge of the card was cut with a deckle edge and then layered onto a sheet from a Dovecraft designer paper pad by Kate Knight.
A vellum greeting sticker was layered onto white card and placed in the corner.

Cute Card Thursday

The challenge this week is to make a Christmas card!! We thought we'd give you a helping hand to get your cards started early this year and we have a fabulous CD of Christmas designs which Wendy of OOh La La Creations has kindly donated as a prize to be given to one randomly chosen winner.
It seems very strange to be making Christmas cards when the weather outside is so warm and sunny but I bought this stamp from Magnolia stamps only a couple of weeks ago so it seemed only right to use it for this challenge.
Tilda with Christmas wreath has been stamped onto an oval of white card using a grey Versafine inkpad. She has been coloured with Polychromos and sansodor. A strip of snowflake paper from Lilli of the Valley has been layered down one side of a pale blue A5 card and the stamped image offset onto this. A peel-off greeting in silver has been added at the bottom. Crystal ultra fine glitter has been added to Tilda's wings, hat and cuffs as well as the centre of all the snowflakes on the backer.

Dad's birthday card

It's my Dad's birthday on 23rd June so I always get his card ready to send along with his Father's Day card.

This is a nice big A5 lightly textured card in a very dark red colour. The map is from the area where my parents live, it was taken from the internet. The image is Car Couple from Paper Nation and has been stamped in grey with a Versafine inkpad and then coloured using Polychromos and sansodor. I stamped the image twice and cut out the second one and raised it using foam pads. The base image is on white card which has been tinted with chalks to soften the colour.
The greeting is a ready made one in gold on cream pearlescent card.
All the elements have been layered onto a gold textured paper leaving a small border.

Cute Card Thursday.

This week there was no set theme instead we were told to make a card based on a sketch by Katharina, thanks Katharina.

This is my card, it features one of my very first Magnolia stamps, Tilda with basket. I bought 4 of the Tilda stamps last week and this is my first card using one of them.

Tilda was stamped with grey versafine ink and coloured with Polychromos and sansodor, before being matted onto a cream pearlescent oval. The square white card was covered with a dotty paper from the Pastel Designer pack by Paper Mania. This was straight cut at the top and sides but scalloped at the bottom. A piece of organza ribbon was knotted and secured onto this background, before the image was added. A sentiment on pearlescent card finished it off.

The person who has their name drawn this week will get 4 gorgeous Maggie stamps donated by Sally from Bootiful Stampz.

Cute Card Thursday

I was lucky enough last week to have my name drawn as the winner of a collection of Zoomz from The Stamp Galaxy . I eagerly await their arrival-thanks to Deb & Andrea on the Cute Card Thursday site.

The theme this week on Cute Card Thursday is 'holiday, vacation or travel'.
I used an A6 card with shading from white to purple. I layered 2 different pieces of card from a Making Memories pad on the right side and on the left I put a mat of creamy pearlescent card. All cut with a scalloped edge. The stamp is Toddler Windmill by Paper Nation with Personal Impressions. It is stamped with smoky gray Versafine ink and coloured with polychromos and sansodor. The dress and hat have been decoupaged with paper taken from the same Making Memories pad. A piece of pink embroidery thread has been knotted to make a belt for the dress and a small punched flower has been added to the hat.
